Miki Matsubara's first best-of album, originally released in 1983, has been reissued on popular color vinyl (clear purple)! Part of CITY POP on VINYL 2022.

Released in 1983 as Miki Matsubara's first best-of album, the first track on side A, "Paradise Beach (Sophie's Theme)," was produced by Takashi Matsumoto and Haruomi Hosono and used in a TV commercial featuring French actress Sophie Marceau. This light and elegant song was released as a single before being included on this album. In addition to five singles, including "Mayonaka no Door ~stay with me~," which became synonymous with city pop, and "Neat na Gogo 3-ji" (3 PM Neat Afternoon), a Shiseido commercial song, the album also includes "Halation," a Latin-influenced song composed by Miki Matsubara herself.

This best-of selection condenses the three years of Miki Matsubara's career, during which she continued to have hits since her debut.
